I get more of a smoothie consistency if I use frozen fruits/veggies. Try using fresh and thin it with water/juice/rice milk to suit.
Some of this is trial and error, as is portion outcome.
Keep me posted. I love Thor and still put him to work at least three times a week.

My acupuncturist just bought me the new edition of Green For Life and I read the whole thing while waiting for neurosurgery appointments with Jay at Moffitt Cancer Center. We bought our Vita Mix (as yet unnamed) because of this book. My drinks always come out way thicker and foamier than I want, though. I want mine more like green juice. The health food store down the street from Nickie's condo in Tampa makes a great one. Do yours always coe out thick?

What is the problem with mixing wet and dry ingredients in the Vita-mix?

I use my vita-mix to mix/knead bread dough, even though I don't have the dry blade container. that seems to work fine. If I were to try to do a quick bread would it over-mix it or something?

Oops! Gads, thanks so much for catching that. Kind of crucial in making it set up. It's two eggs you add. I've now put it at the end of the ingredients. Hope you enjoy it.

I was witness to how incredible these cupcakes were. After a few bites I was told what was in them. I couldn't believe that I was eating a dessert that was vegetarian friendly (and trust me I like meat, eggs, etc...) when I had been used to box cupcakes my whole life. If you are into desserts, chocolate or cupcakes then do yourself a favor and try this recipe.
